Kelly Catron is the winner of the February Hospice Caregiver Award, presented by Horan & McConaty.
She was nominated by Megan Pierce who had the following to say about why she nominated Kelly.
We have pondered thoughts for a long time about how to describe a remarkable woman. What seemed like an endless search in our minds, the dictionary and the thesaurus, led us to one conclusion that to describe this honorable woman would exhaust every known adjective.
She is intelligent, approachable, charismatic, and kind. Those who work along her side strive to achieve the qualities she demonstrates in her daily encounters with peers, patients and families. She is the finest mentor, nurse, colleague and friend a person could know. She is genuine leader.
She has filled multiple roles at The Denver Hospice and recently obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Additionally, she was instrumental in the initiation and the implementation of the Day Triage/Nurse Support Program. The program provides direct support for patients, families and staff who call for immediate assist by a nurse. She is the premier hospice resource and is revered by all whom she meets and serves. We know her and admire her in all regards for her integrity, knowledge, dedication and compassion.
Respectfully, Megan Pierce, RN, Regina Moore, RN, Vickie Lampinen, RN The Denver Hospice – Nurse Support
